Not with the quality of fights Floyd jr. was shoving on our behind. How can Floyd be lined up with these greats fighting these kind of competitions. How can he be with the greats avoiding risky credible opponents? Greatness in boxing wasn't defined with that kind of behavior. Floyd won't be a subject of discussions if he fought on the era of the greats.
I think skill wise, he is one of the greatest fighters. Incredible defense, incredible counter punching, great footwork, very versatile, can fight on the inside or outside.
However if you look at his resume only a few of his wins are good.
Corrales was a p4p fighter, good win, Zab Judah was iin his prime even though he lost to Baldomir, good win, Oscar De La Hoya was p4p too and Floyd fought him at 154 pounds, good win, and Canelo Alvarez, not too much of a catch weight, only 2 pounds, he ended up rehydrating to 165 and Mayweather schooled him for 12 rounds, good win.
The wins that arent legit I would say are:
Marquez (made him jump 2 weight divisions and came in two pounds over weight limit)
Shane Mosley (although coming off a win of Antonio Margarito, it was an old Shane, only a shade of what he once was)
Victor Ortiz (inexperienced)
Robert Gurerro (not a quality opponent)
Cotto (battle worn Cotto who had been through many wars including Mosley, Margarito, and PAcquiao and several other)
Ricky Hatton (should have fought him at 140, instead of making him come up a weight class)
Yes, it's only a question of where he'll eventually rank once he retires.
The greats fought everyone and anyone.With the politics in boxing today it will be harder to add fighters to the list of greatest all time fighters.Sad but true for a lot of boxers
Mayweather is an ATG but not top 20 material.
Skill-wise i think Mayweather and several other not so great fighters could hang with anyone but accomplishment wise Floyd is not in the league of dozens.
Top 20 fighters fight the best and beat the best regardless of promotional issues.

This guy on boxingnews24 just RIPPED Floyd's whole resume. I'm 99.9% sure this is the same dude who comments on Bleacher Report articles under the name 'I know everything. I am 100% right don't reply' (or something like that). He basically just writes novels about why Mayweather and Pacquiao aren't top 45 P4P all time but this one was about Mayweather:
