Dragon, i tell you what, Floyd hates the southpaw stance. If you're really following Floyd's career, it's where Floyd struggles much and he cant be pretty all night. FMJ took his first visit of the canvass (although ruled out by the third man, videos clearly show Floyd's gloves touched the canvass) at the hands of Zab Judah. Cotto, a converted southpaw made Floyd's ears bled. Did you see the cauliflower ears? Man, i only see that in MMA. Oscar Dela Hoya, a converted southpaw too gave him a beating. I still think to this day that Golden Boy won the fight fair and square. And then there's Ortiz who's a southpaw and he hit May at will. The only southpaw of significance that May dispatched off easily was Guerrero. And we've seen how boring the fight was with two Great counter punchers waiting for forever to have one throw a leather... Now why am i saying this, you ask. Do you really think the Philly shell defense can work against a lefty? Pac throws punches in bunches. People can always argue that Manny's water loo was that of a counter puncher. Hence the face first knockout loss to JMM.
Do you think Mayweather would destroy Pacman?
This is one thing you should be aware of bro, Pac loves to beat undefeated guys. He's made a career out of that.
"Destroy" is the wrong word. "Completely outclass" is much more accurate. Pac does not have the skills to cope with Mayweather, and he was WAY too many chinks in his armor, the biggest of which is that he has a tendency to overextend himself. That's dangerous against a counterpuncher like Mayweather, I mean just look at what Marquez did to him when he stepped back and waited to counter.
I can see a 12 round white wash for Floyd, especially considering that Pacman is significantly smaller. Easy fight for Mayweather IMO.
An over the hill Oscar gave Floyd all kinds of problems until he abandoned his jab and gassed. Imagine a Pac that is the same age Oscar was when he fought Floyd, but with more speed, power, etc. He would basically replicate Oscar if knocked down or play it safe and find a way to break Floyd defense (which he will). There is a reason why Floyd refuses to fight Pac and that is certainly one of them.
I believe Floyd would win, but Destroy is indeed the wrong word, as G said. Floyd would win, because Pac's easy wins come from fighters who go towards him. He has the greatest difficulty against fighters moving away from him. So you will likely see Floyd staying away all night, using his height and reach advantage, and a particularly accurate jab. At the same time, Floyd has underrated power to keep all his opponents honest.
The counter argument, which is also valid is his difficulty against the southpaw stance. Try doing Floyd's stance. You are completely sideways, (not just half-side which is the usual stance) and its hard to turn your head to your left. You are extremely hard to hit, but basically you have your back turned against your opponent's right. In the orthodox stance, that right is further away and would need to travel a greater distance to reach its target. A southpaw would lead with his right and its much shorter. This would take some adjustment for Floyd.
Still, I pick Floyd because Floyd has shown the ability to adjust very quickly in a fight. But its not the runaway victory that most people predict. To say that is to completely be fooled by Floyd's recent activities. Floyd looks so good because he is constantly matching himself up against opponents that are so bad. His last good choice? Perhaps Cotto? Since then, its been Ortiz, Guerrero, and now Maidana. Fighters who are not in the same league. Floyd has not been tested recently, and you really wouldn't know if he has lost a step due to his age. Not from those fights.
Pac man would win rounds
back in 2009, pac will destroy floyd...
now, pacs damaged good and too slow.... floyd could barely beat pac via scorecards... problem is, upto now he cant fight a washed up pacquiao
Is you serious child yes mayweather is it best
floyd may clearly better technical skills than pacquiao but he doesnt have the heart, and he is a coward....how can a coward beat pacquiao? no way..........
lol.. that's why Floyd ain't fightin Pacman..
so that he can retain his zero (0) lose
I think he'd school in every single round
