Yes. I didn't even have to look at the video to say this answer. Cheerleaders work so hard compared to other athletes. You need a lot of strength and flexibility to compete in this sport. It's not just a matter of throwing people in the air and catching them, tumbling and different body positions are involved too and if you think that it's easy, you don't know anything. People never think about how hard it actually is to hold stunts in the air and if you are a flyer- to balance in your positions. It really pisses me off when people say it's not a sport because it is, cheerleaders are true dedicated athletes. If people say dancing is a sport, then guess what, so is cheerleading.
No. Cheerleaders say that they do a sport cause they throw people in the air. NO!I can throw someone in the air . Am I doing a sport? No. They mixed dancing and tumbling into it BUT they only added SCREAMING,THROWING,AND making cheer mixes. So no. Def not a sport.
Meh...depends how you define sport. In a way, a sport can be any sort of competition. So two hicks seeing who can spit the farthest is technical a sport. But Cheerleading? You're really trying to compare it to baseball, football, soccer, etc? Sure, it takes athleticism, but no it's not really a sport like the ones I just mentioned.
You are so excellent,I just want to say,well done!But In my opinion,cheerleading is not a real sport.Because you can only do it when there are other sport.If there are not a game ,or a party,will you cheerlead?Absolutely not,I don think it is a sport.
A sport in its definition is something you do for fun. So if it's fun, then yes. Also there's a lot of gymnastics in cheer leading so that could also make it a sport.
