Disrespect of weight limits by Mexican fighters is increasing?

Not only to Mexicans. Floyd did that against a smaller opponent in Marquez.

Disrespect is an understatement. To me that's blatant cheating.

Boxing has no governing body and has become more a business than a sport.

Of course boxers will ignore weight limits.

For example; Salino didn't make weight against Lomachenko. This extra weight obviously helped Salino stay up throughout the bout, and if he would have been knocked down in the last round the fight would have been scored a draw [according to official scorecards].

But Salino came in heavy, he only had to pay a $15,000 fee. Sure; this may seem like allot but with this win he will make over $200,000 his next fight.

Sacrifice $15,000 for a much bigger paycheck in the future is no big deal.

I don't see how it's linked to Mexicans. The fight was contracted at 155. Rios definetly isn't a Mexican. Salido has been fighting at 126 for 10 years and he's old, Garcia threw up trying.

It's not a dis respect if they cannot make the weight. It's disrespecting when they intend to do it.

Mikey Garcia, Brandon Rios, Salido and now Canelo and Angulo have flouted the agreed weight limits. Is there an increasing disrespect of weight limits in boxing? Especially by Mexican fighters?
