The only way a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight could happen is if Bob Arum steps aside. That doesn't seem likely. But, then again, he is 82. ..........Possibilities.
This idea goes from doubtful to wishful thinking. With the kind of beating he got from Marcos, father Floyd will never allow his son to be in the ring with Manny. Manny will give him a clean fight with only the gloves touching him and won't damage his balls like Maidana but it won't be an easy fight like what he said.
What happened to Floyd for "personally and carefully" picking Marcos Maidana over Amir Khan who got the nod of his fans but overruled by Floyd was the work of a Karma. Maybe they realized the mistake they made after having all those pains and the loss of sleep because of it.
If ever the fight with Pacquiao happened, paying Manny to wear the gloves of choice is out the window knowing Manny and Freddie. Manny will used the punchers gloves and not the pillow sparring one Maidana used. No amount of money can convince them to use those preferred gloves of Floyd Jr. even to the point of canceling the fight. Floyd can use it too but to choose the kind of material that will hit his face is not in the rule of boxing. Boxing commissions will decide what is allowed and within and not Floyd Mayweather Jr. Retirement is being considered before it's too late for that ZERO.
You are blind if you call that Floyd taking a beating. Maidana had the right idea as far as aggression, but he missed like 75% of his punches and landed nothing effective except low blows and rabbit punches. All clean blows were landed by Floyd. Naidana outweighed him and practically threw his weight on him and had his head all up in Floyd's face. That's not a beating.
Pacquiao is not so stupid. He would have the same idea, but not all up on Floyd like Maidana. He would be more distant which gives Floyd more room to move. Two completely different fighters. If you believe differently, shows how little you know.
He would come up with a lot of demands after manny left top rank.
