I like Maravilla, but no. Hagler was super tough and could walk all but the most disciplined boxers down and eventually wear them out. Sergio has done incredibly well with his unorthodox style, but his defense is porous and Hagler was dedicated to exploiting weaknesses in defense.

To be honest I love Martinez, he's a future HOF in my book. There is no way possible he would beat Hagler though. Hagler was way to tough and gritty to lose to Martinez. Marvin would start off swarming Sergio, throwing that great straight left to the body. Sergio's movement wouldn't help him, he would be knocked out in under 4 rounds.
I like Sergio but no way he even lasts 12 rounds with Hagler. Especially if he keeps his hands down.
Yes, if the performance of marvin hagler is the same when he fought leonard...There is always an off night to every athlete...However, marvin hagler is too talented to lose this fight...Sergio is not leonard, and his chin is also questionable...I think marvin hagler will KO martinez...I dont believed that sergio can do what he did to chavez, paul williams because hagler is totally different version of a monster...
no it would be kind of like the end of the Chavez fight but all through the fight. Hagler would walk him down take the shots and throw back Martinez would not last more then 10 rounds with him.
