You could do a scavenger hunt; probably something where you're not ringing doorbells, though.
Ask everyone to wear something they would never be caught wearing in public; or have a pajama party.
If you're a creative (and brave) group, everyone can tell a story they've made up, or sing a song.
How about visiting a nursing home or children's hospital, then going out or home for food? That would be alternative and original.... Or giving out hugs to strangers. Or doing some kind of volunteer work, then partying afterward?
Ever seen "Animal House?" Toga parties are fun.

Just get a few folk over to either of your houses, music, take away, few bottles of wine or alcopops or something, just a good night and good laugh
I'm in my mid teens and looking for a good short notice party idea. Having a joint party with my friend and thinking of only inviting bout 12 people.
