I think you should go out. You can get as drunk as you want and not worry about your family being there and it will probably be cheaper because you wont have to pay to book a place.
Better to be safe around family than to be in a strange club with strange men its to dangerous just stick to the party

im turning 18 in a few months and i dont know what to do to celebrate. I can't decide between clubbing or a party. If im to have a big party i will have to book a venue soon and thats why i need some help.
i thought about having a full blown party and inviting everyone i know, my friends liked the idea and my parents will pay for it but im not comfortable with the idea of getting really drunk in front of my family (my parents, siblings and some aunts and uncles will obviously be there, its like a tradition)
then i thought about going clubbing with just my close friends, i wouldnt have to worry about getting too drunk in front of my family and there wouldnt have to be loads of booking and planning.
i gave both options to my friends and parents and they are all okay with both ideas and have left it up to me to decide. i like both ideas though. What are your 18th birthday experiences? any thing you can advice me on?
ps im irish so 18 is the legal drinking age
