-white fabrics (think THIN, almost see through, or webbed material like the mosquito nets that go over a bed). Try to find leftovers of super light white fabrics (or off white, or whatever you think is pretty).
-lights, lights, lights! Buy or borrow as many light strings as you can. Remember you will need outlets or LEDs with battery packs. Maybe use Christmas lights if you have them.
Weave thick string from your house walls to the trees, walls, or anything else you can tie a string to. create a bit of a spider web with the string and then wrap tons of lights around the strongs, hang lights and frabric from the trees, house walls, a string. You can also hang little lanterns, or decorations from the strings.
Obviously don't decorate the area with the fire pit too much. You can light a fire, turn on the lights, play music, serve a buffet with finger foods, dance, and top it all off with cake.
If that is too formal/romantic for you I also like the idea of a black light party, handing out markers or ..washing powder, or whatever shows up in a black light. But that is not going to be formal.

I am trying to plan my sweet sixteen. I don't have a lot of money to spend on it, but I am looking for a party with 25-30 people. I have a patio and a firepit at my house, if someone can come up with cool ideas from that. I wanted to have semi formal dresses, but I'm open to any ideas! Thanks!
