I think Floyd will expose Canelo for being the raw but prodigious talent that he still is at present. That fight would have been more competitive a year or two down the road.
I don't think Floyd is capable of stopping Canelo, except if Canelo suffers career threatening cuts or injuries.
Floyd I think will be content on jabbing and punching his way to another 12 round UD.
Canelo will also have his moments especially in the early and middle rounds but only before Floyd dissected his style and timed his offensive moves,
I think they will both start off slow because Alvarez usually waits to see what his opponent has just like Mayweather. Then he is going to pick it up in the 2nd or 3rd round and his stamina problems will begin to show. At that moment, Mayweather will pick him apart with straight right hands and left hooks. Alvarez will begin to get frustrated and start making more mistakes and Mayweather will make him pay for every mistake.
It's possible that they stop the fight if Mayweather cuts Alvarez or if Alvarez gets hit way too much. People underestimate Floyd's power but don't understand that Floyd doesn't look for knockouts. He punches 1 or 2 times to be able to quickly defend himself because that matters more to him because that's the point of boxing: Hit and don't get hit. If he wanted to, he could rip opponents apart with constant accurate punches. That would require him to take risks though and as a pure boxer he will not do it.
If mayweather is trained properly and 100 percent than mayweather gets a easy unanimous decision victory
easy win for mw.......ortiz rematch or khan would be tougher....only factor is mayweathers age.....at 36 you get older every minute.
I will make a bold prediction and that will be.... mayweather will stop canelo in the later rounds. Any predictions you want to give please leave a comment below. I think Mayweathers elusiveness and defense will tire and frustrate canelo. Mayweather will land a high percentage of punches. He will stop canelo in the 10th or 11th round.
