U know how to box but u have never done it before looool it'll take you about 3 years to get to a good standard. 1 month to beat the crap out of an average joe off the street. Learn how to shoot a jab with the right footwork going forwards and backwards. Learn to parry a jab and a few combinations like jab, jab, cross. Also spar as much as possible and practice things you've learnt. You may get beaten up early on but that's natural so don't get discouraged
You can LEARN the BASICS of boxing in two months. But dont expect to be good or fight worthy. Besides the Army has their own martial arts in basic training. Boxing wont help when the other guy has a knife or krav maga expirience. Boxing was created to be a sport and always has been a sport. But most MartialArts were first developed for Warfare self defence and to really damage or kill the enemie.
Boxing is 75% brains, 25% braun...
How fast can you mentally adjust to an opponents style?
How fast can you adapt to the job in hand..
Can you mentally withstand the rigors of repeative training?
Can you carry on when your body is screaming to stop!
Everybody is different... Some pick up boxing like it's second nature to them, others never do...
yes but not enough to be a pro
