Not at all, that actually sounds really fun! And thoughtful! Nice idea of yours-just remember to enjoy your guests while you cook-you don't wanna miss out on the chatting! Maybe try a little pre-cooking some items that you can always freeze and use in multiple dishes when the time is right. Have fun!

I am Italian and I just moved out of my parents house and I have my own home now. My kitchen is Italian themed and one of those fancy kitchens with 2 ovens and I have like every small appliance and my idea is to create a couple of menus of food that i like to cook and when I have guests come over, they can look over the menu and kinda "order" what they want to eat and I will cook it. (Free of course lol) There will be a menu of drinks too since I have a bar and I used to be a bartender. So, what do you guys think? Do you think this idea is lame?
