Although Floyd is WAY too fast for Ward in handspeed, their footspeed would be about equal, I would even edge a little to Ward for being able to cut a ring.
If they were in the same weight division I dont think Mayweather would want to take this fight. But if he did he would make it a hook fest around Ward's high guard. But there would be lapses when Ward would be able to cut the ring and turn the inside fight up on Floyd. Plus Ward can equally switch lead hands, which would constantly frustrate Floyd to no end.
It would be a h.ell of a fight, I would likely bet Floyd to take a points win...but it would be the most harrowing fight of his career. He would actually be in a fight.
Yes because he is a Super Middleweight, 3 weight classes above Mayweather. He is also much younger than Mayweather.
If they were the same size, Mayweather would win. He has far more experience, he has seen it all, and has done it all. He can make adjustments better than anyone. he is more accurate than Andre Ward, and reduces his opponents to a lower hit percentage than Andre Ward. He is also a much better counter puncher than Andre Ward and has one of the best defenses in the history of boxing.
Still, that would be a great fight to see. There isn't anyone else in the sport right now who are near the level of skill of Mayweather. Certainly not Broner.
If you could equalize their sizes without affecting their attributes I would say that it would be a hell of a fight. Ward and Mayweather are currently, in my opinion the best boxers in the sport. Mayweather has distinct advantages in speed but I think that Ward's best attribute is figuring out and adapting to the style of his opponent and breaking it down. I also think the Ward has a better chin than Floyd which could work to his advantage if he has to make it a grinding fight.
It really would be a toss up fight in my opinion and one I would pay to see, but alas it is a fantasy match up because of their size differences.
Of course, SOG is waaay bigger and has ridiculously good technique. He isn't as athletic as Floyd, but the huge size difference makes up for that.

What do you mean? If you are asking about a fantasy match up because there is just too much weight difference, it is a pick em fight but as is he would annihilate Mayweather because he is just too big.
Floyd Mayweather and his Snake's fist style has big weakness'. They know what it is, and Mayweather cherry picks opponents that don't have a stubborn and deadly left hook. Ward's left hook is wicked vs Chad dawson.
See the eagle's claw Roy Jones's flying left hooks neutralize James Toney's snake's fist style, all day. Ward's left hooks are also vicious and never ending. You can't punish him to quit it, and Mayweather curls up to opponents like that. He's a great cherry picker.
