P.S. for upper body you should do pull-ups, push-ups, and sit-ups, and flexing all of your upper body muscles. for lower body try squats (side to side and straight up better), leg lifts, clenching muscles, and walking on the balls of your feet (without high heel shoes!) AND STRECH BFORE AND AFTER ALL WORKOUTS!!!!!
Absolutely! You can do boxing. If that is what you are interested in doing to build strength, go for it. There is no one to stop you but you. So don't hold yourself back. Try taking a local kickboxing class to build strength all over.
boxing will definitely whoop you into shape! its an amazing intense workout. boxing is NOT going to get you buff but it will help you drop a lot of fat. to build up strength, you need to consider weight training. boxing is cardio and will help you tone out and lose weight. anyone can do boxing including females. there's a ton of females at my boxing gym and they are pretty good!
Some people start practising for boxing before they even hit double digits, so I son see the problem of you joining boxing.
Hit a speed bag.
Your size doesn't matter- you can be small or big or whatever- but if you don't have speed then your not going to be very good. Work on your footwork.
Just... don't distract the dudes. It's totally fine tho.
Im 14 and i'd like to learn self-defense, I already know that I have to get fit already and that's been done. Jogs, Lifting an army duffel bag filled with books and 6 push-ups a day. I don't want to get totally buff and ripped or whatever. I just want to build up my strength so I could defend myself when it comes to the time. Do you think boxing is suitable for my age and do you think that I'm overworking myself?
Also, Can someone give me tips on how to build upper body and lower body. Thanks
