The Pacquiao could potentially be the biggest in pro boxing but with so many cooks cooking the same menu ( FMJ Promotion, Top Rank, CBS Showtime, HBO, WBC and WBO ) and people to feed ( the boxers, the promoters, the networks, the sanctioning bodies, THE IRS), what is the assurance it will give Floyd and CBS Showtime a bigger net as when Floyd and Showtime just do other PPV fights as the Cotto and the Khan bouts alone together?
I think Floyd is also protecting his 47-0 record which is just two wins shy of Marciano's record.
I think fans will buy Floyd's fights with Cotto and Khan who are also both crowd-drawers.
not anymore, as he will retire again. lol. kidding aside, floyd fans are trying to sugarcoat the word "ducking", saying floyd is just being practical and taking the easy road with just as the same earnings. all the same, it means ducking to me. we shouldnt try to condition our minds that he is taking the easy fights and be deluded that he is making or generating the same money on pacquiao, nobody wants amir khan, i havent heard anybody talking about cotto either. the clamor is consensus that he should fight pacquiao. regardless of the money, which is by the way will easily generate 200-300 mil dollars (floyd will have to fight cotto and amir khan twice each to earn this kind of money), he will not only solidify his status as the boxings greatest (win or lose). he will shut haters and critics up, and/or punish arum by beating the promoters biggest cash cow.
no, i will not pay to see any other floyds fight if its not against pacquiao. i consistently refused to buy any of floyds fight since ricky hatton. But, i will probably get a mayweather against bradley or alexander, maybe if they compromised to fight ward in a meet up weight.
