If youve had a amateur career then yes 19 is fine for turning pro but otherwise if your beginning from scratch then u will probably be around 23 when turning pro possibly? Because you'll send about 1 year mastering the basic moves, then about 3 years in your amateur career, so yeah it isnt too late,
just know this, the only undefeated heavyweight in history ''Rocky Marciano'' was 25 went he turned professional and he went on to be undefeated in 49 fights aswell as winning the heavyweight championship belt.
some have starting boxing at an older age and become world champions. It is not too late, the thing about boxing is you only fight guys near your weight so you do not have to be big to box.
You will never know if you have the talent to become a good boxer unless you try so go and find out.
You're never too old to try, and you'll regret it if you don't.
You have to give it your best effort regarding:
1. a boxer's training routine, as well as,
2. a boxer's diet.
Your shot is very good.............locate a gym boxinggyms.com and get started, training, learning, competing in tournaments, then Gold Gloves, etc. Good luck.
Yes u can start. The more u spar the faster u will get better. Learn the jab. It will look after u in the ring.
yeah why not
I've always been pretty athletic, but I'm not the biggest guy. About 5'8 140, I know I will need to add muscle and weight for sure. Lately I've really been intrigued with boxing and want to try and train to get pretty good. Basically just wondering if it's worth a shot at 19 and what my chances are of becoming a decent boxer?
