I don't know the numbers, but Bradley was dead on his feet and Ruslan was throwing the sink at him trying to get him out of there. It didn't work, and after that he was gassed.
I think the bodyshots that Bradley threw while being hurt probably was part of that too. He was in zombie mode and just throwing on reflex, so he probably didn't know what he was doing, but when a guy is throwing everything he has at you, and you touch his body w/ solid shots to the body, it'll make them even more tired.
2) It's definitely not a good thing. I dont' know if Ruslan can speak a little English or what, but either way it makes the corner more hectic than it should be. Never good if a coach is trying to give his fighter some serious/legit tips or info.
3) Probably. If the fight were 15 rounds, I'm pretty positive he wouldn't have made it. If he took that knee w/ half the round left, I'm not sure what would've happened. Taking the knee after not taking one earlier in the fight tells me he was probably done.
1. I don't know if he was tired or what because he was coming forward but not throwing any punches. I thought he was saving him self because he had thrown a lot of punches . I was watching him closely the reason I don't think he was out of gas is because his punches had a lot of speed on them and power and he was very accurate a tired fighter has none of these ability's.
2.Freddie Roach is finished as a top trainer all of his fighters lost last night . Hell he was not even in the Africans corner who lost in the first fight. It was a huge disadvantage for Provodnicov to much confusion in the corner.
3.No the rounds are three minutes if that was the case yu could make that argument in every fight. If the fight was 15 rounds who would have won see what I mean.
It was a good fight not great Bradley looked sloppy for some reason.
Whenever a translator is involved like Buboy with Pacquio it takes from the effect of the chief trainer.Garcia should be banned or sanctioned for his continuous swearing over and over even on HBO. Those reps that are almost sitting in the fighter's lap should enforce something. Bradley and Provodicov fought an excellent fight IMO andI give Bradley much credit for his performance. If the fight had gone another 30 seconds he may have suffered his first KO loss, but it didn't and he retained his title. Great fight IMO. Bradley had sustained much throughout the fight and kept on fighting so another 30 seconds he, probably would have lasted that too.
1. Provodnicov punched himself out in the 2nd round. He threw a ton of punches trying to get Bradley out of there that he wore himself down. He's not used to throwing that many punches. He needed a couple of rounds to get his energy back and eventually did.
2. Freddie doesn't talk a lot in the corner so i don't think it was that big of a deal.Freddie gives a couple of instructions and is direct and to the point. He doesn't waste his breath just saying stuff.Bradley's corner wasn't saying a whole lot besides "keep moving","don't stand in front of him", and a bunch of expletives.
3. I thought the bell saved Bradley for sure.If that knock down had taken place earlier in the round i think Provodnicov stops him.Bradley wasn't looking good and was hurt by almost every punch that landed throughout the fight.
1) Ruslan let his sparring partner mentality get the best of him
A sparring partner is content to absorb more punches and let their hands go less often than a fighter does
2) That's Freddie's way...take it or leave it. He tells the fighter what he thinks they need to do and leaves it up to the fighter to implement it. Ruslan was not really out of gas....he just never put as many punches together as he should have + his punches were wilder than Bradleys-- Be that as it may, even with the translator ...somebody should have told Ruslan to let his hands go a lot more
3) Yes --- I thought Ruslan won by a slim margin simply because Ruslan hurt Bradley more than Bradley ever hurt Ruslan throughout the fight
Bradley threw many more accurate combinations but Ruslan's punches hurt Bradley more
1) I felt Provodnikov was both punched out and suffered from Bradley's body work. Bradley made him Leary of really opening up like her had in the early rounds. He said he didn't feel Bradley's power...my eyes saw a different story.
2) While watching it, I thought the whole translation thing was a time waste for sure.
3) No. Bradley got up before the bell. He survived.
Ok... After watching this fight for the forth time.. I have three questions I wish to put to the forum:
1) Is it me.. Or was Provodnicov out of gas from the third round onwards?? He threw something like 15 punches throughout the entire round..... He was totally out of steam... Nothing like the man that fought the first two rounds?
2) With only sixty second intervals during the rounds - Should Freddie Roach have been the chief cornerman? Bradley's corner were screaming and cussin before he even sat down... There was a 15 second gap in Provodnicov's corner, as instructions had to be translated first... Was this a gross disadvantage in such a major fight?
3) Yes or No... Did the bell save Bradley in the final round from recording his first knockout defeat?
