Fighters who trade, like the stationary ones are labeled "punchers" dont have the boxing ability to do anything else. It doesnt serve u in terms of longevity. Its a requirement that u be confident in your power and chin to do so. Most trainers dont advice that style.
Pressure fighters, the improved version of "stand and trade or stationary" can cut off the ring and go to the body. If pressure is implied correctly it will tire their opponents and usually get them late.
Volume punchers, usually fighters with less power who overwhelm their opponents with quantity of punches and keep their defense in tact, which easier to do than pressure fighters cause their harder to counter.
Pure boxers, the ones who bounce, which is not recommended since it waist energy, however that is especially helpful to get away from shots with their feet since its always in position to move. the better way to come about it is to use great footwork. like Rigondeaux or Bernard Hopkins, they dont bounce around rather they move just enough to get away from a shot. Though bouncing is much easier for begginers
U should ask the same question agan but be more specific on the exact styles that u want to breakdown cause their are many. Hoped mine helped
Hippedy hoppedy on the outside with the left jab to consistently blind them from coming is a long arm BOXER, such as Ali and Holmes and Lennox Lewis. Advantage is your long arm body type. Your dancing and left jab keeps them on a stick leash to hold them back like a vicious pitbull in check.
Bernard Hopkins is a defensive short arm boxer, he fights running away like a boxer, but it's only to lure opponents in closer and then he attacks on the inside, cuz they are stocky and short armed, yet careful.
A puncher is usually an offensive short armed flat footed power puncher with low top shoes and wins by penetrating forward and in and attacking, like Rocky Marciano and Tyson and a few others. They try to counter forward as soon as the opponent tries to jab or swing to keep away. They usually win on the inside, cuz their body type is stocky and short armed with chin down. Offensive short arms are usually as tough as nails, unlike the smarter defensive short arm counterpuncher style.
Every other style, you'd have to be something special to win frequently enough to be recognized. See what body type you are and master the style for your body type, and you'll be recognized.
It depends on you genetic makeup. That is to say, your physical shape/structure in turn your
center of gravity, these determine where you draw strength from and the type of punch you feel most comfortable throwing.
Copunterpunching is an art not boxers perfected, as most are not suited to this style of fighting. It requires confidence and ability in equal measures.

What are some advantages to certain styles and stances? I don't mean like orthodox vs southpaw. I mean like you see some fighters bounce around and others are stationary. Some stand and trade, so remain on the outside. Some do this some do that, etc. Could you explain certain advantages?
