Boxing role model?

Ricardo Lopez

Winky Wright.

Those are good places to start. Both very fundamentally sound fighters. Lopez was good enough to lead with his left uppercut, which can be dangerous, and I wouldn't advise doing that as often as he did, if at all, depending on the trainee. I'd just tell you to look at his technique, not his tendencies. You develop your own tendencies as a fighter depending on what feels comfortable to you. Definitely do film study on these two fighters though.

You can try to implement some things you see in their game, but obviously you need a credible trainer if you don't already have one so that you're able to have mistakes corrected, and won't develop bad habits. You didn't say if you did or not, so I'm just throwing that out there.

As you say "look up to" and you are 15, I would avoid rapist tyson and woman beater mayweather. I actually am a fan of both them, but i dont look up to them, I just like their in the ring styles.

For a good in the ring boxer who can also be admired as a person, Ray Leonard is a good choice. Lennox Lewis also.

the fighters would be GREAT if they didnt have those styles where you could barely do . but some GOOD boxers that you can watch thats styles arent impossible are like, Jermell & Jermall Charlo, Mikey Garcia, Terrence Crawford, Andre Ward and many other fighters, remember you dont have to use just one style you could take something from every boxer and mix it up and have your own style. so you could take like a straight left from pacquaio, jab from mayweather, and left hook from nonito donaire, just mix it up you'll be good. good luck!

Not So Old Timer---Sugar Ray Leonard. He was a complete package who could be a master boxer and a KO seeking puncher depending on his foe and or the situation. There may still be lots of his training and fight videos around. He was so scientifically grounded in his boxing from his amateur days. He was more scientific and fundamentally sounder than both Ali and Robinson.

Current---- Guillermo Rigondeux for defense and Mickey Garcia for offense.

I would not admire Floyd Mayweather. He avoids his top contenders, beats up girls and threatens children. He also gets in fights with non-boxers, and seems to have the need for constant attention.

There is one good example to take from Floyd , and that is his dedication to the sport and his clean living lifestyle. Unfortunatly, he also has the personality of a snotty high school girl

I'd say an all around guy to admire would be Miguel Cotto. He's humble, works hard, fights anyone and always gives his best.

Joe Frazier

George Foreman

Despise M Ali

Hi I just wanted to know a good boxer to watch and look up to:

obiusly I know many boxers from today and old times (I am 15 years old anyway) and I will like to see different boxers to look up to because the main ones are

-ali (did let his opponents to punch him)

-Tyson ( you have to be a muscle-power freak to take his style)

- Floyd mayweather jr. (his style is very unique only he can make it perfect but it is just an opinion)

so I want a good overall boxer to watch his technique( footwork, jabs, hooks...)

please only boxers i do not want swarmers or sluggers
