Like Oscar DeLaHoya who I think did it first, (or at least the first successful) self promotions for fighters is changing the boxing land scape, cutting out promoters is the first big step, Floyd show time deal is certainly a big step for boxing so in a sense Floyd, Oscar, Tyson, Hatton, Mosley ext ext are changing boxing for the better globally. But is Floyd the future? Id say no seeing is how he is at the end of his career.

That's ridiculous to assume. If that were to make boxing mainstream again Mayweather would have traveled around the world some 10 years ago and made boxing the worlds #1 sport.

Guys like Mike Tyson became global stars from fighting abroad like in Japan.

Muhammad Ali fought in the Philippines, Africa and he even went to the Soviet Union to fight against their best amateurs.

That's like Mayweather going to Iran or North Korea for exhibitions.

Mayweather is the face of boxing for sure but he is a terrible prize fighter. He has continually done the bare minimum to please boxing fans. He's a straight up business man punk. Can't wait until he is gone and someone new takes his place that will actually test themselves against the best.

COWARDICE STYLE BOXER like Flyd will be encourage in 2025-2080..

all COWARD boxers will have a 0 lose record..

and the opponents will accept all the COWARD demands..

this is boxing.. 2014

this is FUTURE boxing , COWARDS IS AT IT'S BEST.. 2025

definitely not the global future of boxing but a couple of the younger guys currently fighting in the u.s. are pretty much brain washed by him at the moment alot of them want to box like a little kid like he does & talk sh** about money and romanticize reality & be obsessed with themselves and their main priority is to be cute these days its about to get real corny until somebody changes it again.. because all they do is copy trends.

In a negative way, I guess.
