Boxing: Which fight are you most anticipating in early 2014?

Golovkin/ Adama

Collazo/ Ortiz

Charlo/ Rosado

Chavez Jr/ Vera II

Garcia/ Burgos

Saul alveraz vs. Alfredo angulo.

Keith Thurman vs. Shawn porter. A potential fight for 2014.

Floyd mayweather return .....

Adonis stevenson vs. Sergey kovalev. If possible!

I think Charlo-Rosado is the most interesting as it pits an upcomer versus a tough grizzled veteran who is among the fighters that created the current Golovkin buzz. Rosado is coming off a no contest with another promising fighter in JLeon Love in between two TKO losing bouts with Golovkin and Peter Quillin at failed tries at the middleweight titles and now he has moved down to junior middleweights.

I can't get excited about Garcia-Burgos as its an all-Mexican affair with Burgos even being held to draws in his last two fights, one against Rocky Martinez who Garcia steamrolled over for his title, and losing on points to Hozumi Hasegawa in their fight for then vacant WBC featherweight crown back in 2010. I think Garcia handily wins over Burgos.

Assuming we're talking about fights that are already scheduled/official, then there's three I'm liking a lot;

Number one is Vasyl Lomachenko vs Orlando Salido. Great matchup, and I love that this guy is going up against a legit titleholder in only his second fight, against an elite and rough guy like Salido.

I can't wait for this fight, and to see if Lomachenko is as good as advertised. Clearly, the confidence on his and TR's part is showing with this matchup.

I think the Jermall Charlo vs Carlos Molina fight is an interesting matchup, although I'm disgusted watching any and all Molina fights.

It's more likely I have sex with Meagan Good while Scarlett Johansson sits on my face and Natalie Portman tapes it, than the chances I will ever enjoy watching a Carlos Molina fight (unless of course Molina gets KTFO).

Nothing against Molina personally either, but his fighting style is uglier than Sandra Bernhard's face.

I'm also interested in the Jermell Charlo vs Gabe Rosado fight. Both Charlo brothers are very good prospects (contenders at this point) and are in the biggest fights of their careers here.

Burns vs Crawford

Munroe vs Selby

Huck vs Arslan

Garcia vs Burgos

Hasegawa vs Martinez

Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Timothy Bradley II

Manny Pacquiao vs. Ruslan Provodnikov

Khabib Allakhverdiev vs. Jessie Vargas

Akifumi Shimoda vs. Simpiwe Vetyeka

James DeGale vs. Badou Jack

Golovkin vs Adama by far is the fight I'd like to see more than any other on your list. It should be an entertaining fight. Though I think Adama is a bit over-matched, he's too brave for his own good.

.

I enjoy watching Golovkin fight. It doesn't matter to me who he fights. He wins this in 8.

Garcia-Burgos, Alvarez-Angulo, JCC Jr-Vera

Mikey-Burgos

Not sold on Mikey yet, still some things he needs polishing but I did see improvements. Right now he's given the Donaire-Broner treatment where he fights fighters that help him look good. I do like it that Mikey feints and can creat his own openings unlike Donaire but still he needs more polishing before I'm sold

Also the Bryant Jennings fight is interesting

None of those mate!

Froch vs Groves II

Stevenson vs Kovalev

Fury vs Wilder

Quigg vs Frampton

Garcia vs. Burgos

Mikey is a good fighter.

I am also anticipating Mayweather's return in May.

Chavez Jr/Vera 2

But only because I don't know the entire schedule.

Golovkin/ Adama

Collazo/ Ortiz

Charlo/ Rosado

Chavez Jr/ Vera II

Garcia/ Burgos

Agree with Stick+Move on this one, Lomachenko vs Salido for sure. I think with Lomachenko we are witnessing the super fast development of a real star. Once we see his chin tested I will be sold hook line and sinker on him.

canelo, pac, floyd, bradley, prov.
