Boxing: What would be a bigger purse cut?

Knowing Floyd, I don't believed that he would agree on that 50/50 proposal or even 60/40. He would rather not fight Pacquiao than be dictated. It is more likely that he will propose a fix rate of 40M flat which I believed is not fair but Manny doesn't have a choice but to accept just to have a chance of whupping Floyd's azz silly and believe me it will happen (be calm people, just my belief). The real reason why Floyd was hiding from all this BS.

The Pacquiao vs. Floyd is of a way bigger magnitude than Canelo vs. Floyd that will make a way better revenue. Pacquiao is not Canelo who's justification of having the fight was his size. Canelo is not a proven commodity who was well protected by GBP. Beating Trout is not a real test of his talent to me much more beating Shane Mosley who was way off his prime. Don't tell me that Canelo is not a product of media hype like what I have read before on this forum.

Definitely Floyd Mayweather Jr. will make more money fighting Pacquiao. Way bigger than Guerrero, Canelo and Mosley combine. People will come to Vegas or any place in the world just to be said that they were there when this fight happen. Just the ego and the right to brag that they were there witness the fight is more than satisfaction to a lot of people especially hard core boxing fans and no moneyed fans will let this go pass without them being there. That's the magnitude of this match up, too scary that I myself is having a goose bumps.

With these being said I don't see any reason why Floyd Mayweather jr. couldn't fight Manny Pacquiao.

Nothing to worry about price cut with this new offer from Pacquiao. http://sports.inquirer.net/140591/pacqui...

Probably A.

Mayweather and Pacquiao were meant to get 30 million guarunteed each if they did 50/50 and he earned 41.5 million against Canelo.

As for the revenue after PPV i still think it would be A because Mayweather would have got less of the PPV share than he got for Canelo.

If we are talking about which fight would generate more it's clearly Mayweather vs Pacquiao but not by a massive margin. Still, Mayweather would walk away with less because he wouldn't be getting the lionshare like with Canelo.

B. Yes Floyd vs Manny brings in more money then any fight, even 50% would get you more, then the money he made off Canelo. I personally feel Floyd shouldn't go 50/50 with anyone, but Pacquaio does got the backing. The decisions he makes for fights is obvious. 1) Don't threaten your 0 losses. 2) Big Money. Remember this for the future. Floyd will never fight anyone who is a threat to him. Going off this formula he will fight Amir Khan next. The guy did nothing to earn it, and is no threat, and he brings big money.

Mayweather would have more money with 50% of the Pacquiao fight.

What I don't understand is why we got away from the winner getting more and the loser getting less, where today each fighter is guaranteed a percentage even if he quits, as did Duran.

dude, when he phoned pac.... pac was clear, he countered w/ 45/55 + $50M garanteed!

what 50% are you talkin about? he promised he will never give pac 50, even that $40M no ppv he offered pac, he can earn more than 75% on all revenue if pac agreed to that ridiculous offer....

now, i doubt it if pac will even dare ask for 45, maybe 40, but knowin pac, he might go 35 just to get the fight a done deal... this fight is the real deal unlike "the one" being all hyped, you're dreaming if you even try to level this fight w/ the canelo fight... if they can hype the canelo fight that good, what more the pacquiao fight... aint floyd+GBP the best in hyping fights? only US and mexico bought "the one"...

w/ the megafight "you got UK, US, RP, mexico loves to see pac lose again, thailand and indonesia follows pac, and japan is crazy over pac... china would love to see pac lose...

i mean come on man, go back to your senses

A) The greater cut of Mayweather/ Canelo that Floyd got.

Or

B) 50% of Mayweather/ Pacquiao that Arum and Pacquiao suggested to Floyd.

As far as what Floyd would walk away with... would he have made more money fighting Pacquiao? Explain.
