lol am I the only one who knows Sean G posted .2lb and not 2lb? He got it right mofo's, he didn't say Broner was overweight.
I don't think it will be an issue. The only way I can see it being a problem is if Broner gets tired and fades in the last three or four rounds.
Even if that was the case, I don't know if the fight will go that long. If it does, I do'n t see Paulie racking up enough points to win a decision.
Broner will be fine, he's a short but pretty thick dude and will carry the weight okay IMO.
.2lbs heavier. Not 2 pounds. C'mon the weigh in was hours ago, everyone made weight.
It won't mean much but I thought adrien would come in a little lighter but it won't really matter.
If paulie rehydrates 10-12 pounds heavier it helps him. I don't think Broner will rehydrate that much probably only a few pounds.
I think paulie will be able to take adriens punches because he'll be heavier. Broner won't have the weight advantage
What's up, bro? The official weigh-in is scheduled by noon yet. What do you mean?
Boxers are usually heavier in the run down to a scheduled fight and are expected to taper off by weigh in to meet the required weight limits.
Do you mean Broner is still two pounds over the welterweight limit of 147 lbs. or you mean Paulie Malignaggi is planning to come in two pounds lighter at 145 lbs. at weigh in and possibly at fight time?
Will the weight affect the fight?
Broner camp must know that if Adrien fails to meet the weight, the fight is in danger of being cancelled or reduced to non-title bout.
On the other hand, if Paulie is planning to come in under the weight limit so that he could be lighter and faster at fight time, it's a fine strategy but a risky one since he will be at a bigger disadvantage in power department.
Let us wait and see.
Possibly but one thing for sure Broner hits harder and has more strength than Paulie. KO's speak for themselves. But a 2lbs difference shouldn't make much of a difference.
At their weight division, 2 pounds does mean a lot. He should and probably will be fined somehow in his purse. Still think Paulie has lots of heart, and may win a decision, if he hits and runs and doesn't get cocky ala Billy Conn.
For sure. That's two more pounds he had against the opponent
Will weight affect the fight?
