I'd count on him beating Thurman and Khan. Awe the. Feeling of knowing so many idiots thought Porter would walk through Brook. Glad that hype job got sonned. Marquez surely would've owned him.
A) Amir Khan - Not at the moment. Brook needs to settle in to his world class status. Khan is too soon, maybe a year down the road..?
B) Keith Thurman - Same as above. Thurman is a banger, he draws his opponents into fights. Brook needs to settle down first.
C) Floyd Mayweather - Now Sean.... Don't tell me your hitting the bong pipe too...?? Seriously though, there might be three guys that will trouble Mayweather, Brook isn't one of them...
The 147lb division is at a very high standard - There are 20 world class boxers that could challenge for any of the 'alphabet' titles.. Mayweather aside, nobody is destined to defend a belt 10 times and still keep on top.... It just isn't happening...
Garcia (who I admire), fought two 'lesser' opponents to ensure he retains his title (don't tell me any different). The Porters, Alexanders, Brooks of this world are walking a tight line... To stay champion, and make respectable defences is not as easy as it seems...
Money aside, who wants the hassle of defending against a Canelo, a Lara, a Matthysse, a Khan, a Pacquaio, a Cotto..... It's easier to fight the Porters, Alexanders, and Brooks... At least you have a chance of retaining your title..
We didn't see the best of Brook. He's much better than that. Also, Porter showed that he isn't the boxer he was being hyped up to be. I'd give him a very good chance against Khan or Thurman, but he's not ready for Floyd and all that comes with fighting Floyd.
He has a fair chance against all of them. I definitely think that he would beat Khan, has a hell of a shot a beating Mayweather but as for Keith Thurman I am not so sure. It is Thurman, who for me is the dangerman in the welterweight division right now.
Kell barely beat Porter who struggled against Julio Diaz who was poleaxed by Thurman. Go figure, I will give Kell an even chance against Khan. I think Floyd schools Kell.
