No, but obviously it's a major setback.
Love is a good fighter. As I said in another question, he was able to beat Periban and that's a decent win.
First and foremost that was a BAD knockout, and J'Leon needs to take some time after that. I also think he could've fought better, maybe sat down on a couple of punches and got Porky's respect.
Doesnt' matter, as Kalambre said it's not the end of the world. He'll have to get on the comeback trail, just like Badou Jack is doing.
Look at Mickey Bey, he got stopped with like sixty seconds left in a fight he was easily winning against Molina (although clearly Molina is a legit fighter, as opposed to a journeyman). Now he's got a fight with one of the two best LW's in the world in Miggy Vazquez.
Love can come back, for sure, as Floyd would say all it takes is hard work and dedication.
Bernard Hopkins loss his first professional fight ,at that point ,who would have ever guessed that 0-1 Bernard Hopkins would go on to be an ATG.
Maybe J'Leon won't be an ATG but maybe he can still make an impact but a champion ,I doubt it from what I've seen from him.
Don't see Love doing much at Super middleweight. Who does he really beat at SMW. The Dirrel boys beat him, groves beat him, Degale beats him, Both Froch and Ward decapitate the poor sod. even Robert Steiglitz and Arthur Abraham would send him to sleep.
He can't make 160 which is why he took diuretics and he's too small for 168. He's stuck.
Yes it hurts. But it ain't the end of the world for him. Who knows he'll excel in some other arts. Ballet dancing perhaps.
Another overhyped African-American bum got exposed. We have been used to that scenario by now
Bum.
His KO loss hurts.
