If Canelo outsells Pacquiao vs Algieri then yes. And I'm sure he will. They're both fighting in November and Canelo originally was fighting on the 22nd as well but I'm sure he's rescheduling.
Canelo is famous in Mexico, USA & hard core boxing fans... Most Europeans will never have heard of him, I would guess that the average truck driver in Alaska hasn't heard of him either..

No, after Mayweather and Pacquiao there are a couple more just as big as Alvarez, guys like Wlad, Bhop, Cotto and even Juan Manuel Marquez are bigger draws. You can put Canelo at the same level as Ward, Froch and Grennady Golovkin, so I guess Alvarez is in the top ten, but the lower half of the top ten.
No. There is a whole world outside of America. Alvarez isn't well known in the rest of the world. Pacquiao is easily number 2 but Alvarez isn't 3rd either. Wladimir Klitschko and Amir Khan are more well known throughout the world.
I think Teddy just said that in exaggeration to glorify Canelo ,although I do thing Canelo would beat Pacquiao due to the size difference.
At the sports bars where I'm from ,the only fights they will show are Mayweather and Pacquiao fights and never show Canelo Alvarez fights ,that's should tell who the more popular fighters are ,at least in the U.S.
No, and it's not even close. After Mayweather and Pacquiao, there's a pretty steep drop-off to the next biggest stars like Canelo, Cotto, Chavez Jr, etc. He will only become the sport's biggest draw once both May and Pac retire for good, but his stock is most definitely rising.
Pretty much. If you think about it, who can really beat Canelo besides Mayweather? No one. I think this all set up, coincidentally Mayweather himself said he believes Canelo will take his place as the number one boxer after he retires. As you know Mexicans makeup the largest fan base in boxing having the most champions come out of that country than any other in boxing history. See the picture? HBO/Goldenboy promotions will take advantage of that and use Canelo as their new cash cow and thrive off the money from the Latino community after Mayweather steps down.

Canelo is ahead of Fraud Sean. Remember Fraud drained Canelo down just to make the fight. If Canelo was allowed to stay in his comfortable weight, he could've sent Fraud home in stretcher.
