De La Hoya and Arum = Real Men

Mayweather = a Pinche mayate

I am sure Floyd thinks lots of people conspire against him, but in the real world Arum and De La Hoya are in the business to make money, and are not trying to hurt Floyd or his career.

Arum just wants money. And, like Floyd, he likes to be in control. I can't blame either for not budging because it's in their respective nature.

.

Oscar's obsession with Floyd is just plain Sickening. It's getting REAL Old. He sounds like a jilted ex-girlfriend. I swear, sometimes I think there's much more to that fishnet story than we know. Obsession isn't so bad when you consider goals. Obsession of people is really sickening and not good for those around you. Oscar really needs to let it go.

.

Of course Oscar blames the May-Sept. plans on Canelo. It's never his fault. Always someone else's.

.

True, I'd love to see Canelo vs Cotto. I think it's a great fight. Oscar has no choice but to align with Arum now that Schaefer has departed. Oscar is concerned because, while Floyd is still fighting, Haymon has the power to build a promotional company to rival Golden Boy, especially if Schaefer aligns with Haymon.

.

I don't blame anyone, including Oscar, for wanting the best for business. And I think part of him might actually be sincere in wanting to produce the best fights. I just think his obvious obsession with Floyd clouds his judgement.

.

Would you hang around your buddy if all he talked about is wanting to spite his ex-wife? That's what Oscar sounds like. I can't see how anyone would want to work with him. I find him sickening. His fights were great to watch but, as a person, he sucks. Big Time.

.

I hate the thought of a merger between TR and GB, then Arum dying (he's 180 years old already) and Oscar becoming the premiere promoter in boxing. His obsession with Floyd and desire to continue to prove his loyalty to the Mexican fan base doesn't bode well for the future of the sport, especially if he's at the helm.

No. Put in positive perspective, Arum and Oscar are trying to cooperate once gain to put up fights pitting their best fighters in all weight classes, including in and around the welterweights.

If the net effect is detrimental to Floyd, it may not be totally intentional but cannot be avoided.

Floyd has ended his co-promotion deal withj Golden Boy Promotion following the row between Oscar and Schaefer although he said he is still open to work with GBP if the condition is ideal.

If Floyd feels threatened by this reconciliation between Arum and De al Hoya, he has every reason to be because the two happens to be the biggest, most influential boxing promoters in the USA. who can join forces to put up cards that could potentially outshine and even outsell Floyd's future fights if he opts to work outside their orbit. Especially if Floyd will be limited to the few marquee names outside the GBP and TR hold.

It will really depend on Floyd's next move now that he has still two fights left in his contract with Showtime.

Yes. They've once conspired to lure Floyd in to make the mega fight but failed. Since they both gave up on Floyd its just fitting to get Floyd out of the picture. He's a useless cherrypicker. A fkng greedy one.

No. If Oscar decided to make fights happen with Top Rank then that's up to him. If Floyd is too stubborn to get over his feud with Arum and fight Top Rank fighters, then that's up to him. I very much doubt they are getting together and saying "right, how can we push Floyd out of the picture?" It will be more like they are thinking about which fights can happen and if Floyd wants to be involved then great, if he doesn't, life goes on.

Haymon works with Oscar. Haymon said he likes the idea of Garcia vs Pacquiao. Haymon uses Golden boy as his main promoter for most of his fighters. Haymon and Oscar are looking too start making fights with TR and on HBO. Again Haymon per Oscar said he's willing to let the Pacquiao vs Garcia fight happen.

I'm really beginning to think Oscar might have gay tendencies. Just sayin.

who cares? bob & oscar to give us a few good fights next year is good news...

but honestly, I think theyre just doin it for business... just pure business... true businessmen dont profess they are yet get personal w/ another and say such things like "I wont work w/ arum" and sh1t... as don carleone always says "dont let anybody know how you think"

No. not at all.
