The white guy will prevail as we always do in life. But even if he loses he has many options in life. He can be a doctor, a police officer, a lawyer, a politician, a golfer, an explorer, a scientist, you name it. What Lara's genetics can offer him other than boxing and drug dealing?
Canelo has bunch of nobodies on his record with the exception of Floyd (lost), Shane Mosley (too old...) and thus his only legit victory is over Austin Trout who btw was also defeated by Lara.
Lara is also southpaw which is problem for canelo (orthodox...). It will be very competitive fight, i give it to Canelo: UD. can't see canelo KO Lara even if Lara has bad day. Canelo still has far superior jab which will be his best weapon in the fight and which will be what brings him points...so it will be boring fight to watch overall despite all the excitement/same level of skill.
I think Lara wins by decision here.
I have to admit Canelo is the big favorite in this fight and I'm wondering what was going through Erislandy Lara's mind when he accepted the fight. He only has 22 fights total with only 19 wins 1 loss and two draws? Comparing to Canelo with a bigger profile and fighting experience.
Canelo will win, he's a big puncher, fast and has all the boxing tools. Lara is in it for the payday I assume? Unless my odds are proven wrong.
