Boxing: Can Froch ever accused of ducking?

No he can't and especially not of an opponent he's already beaten. Like it or not he stopped George Groves in the 9th round of their world title showdown so why would he fight him again? He was clearly losing the fight when the over-zealous referee dived in and spared his blushes so he wouldn't want to go back there knowing that Groves has his number. And that's OK with me because Froch has fought everyone you could have asked him to fight, his boxrec speaks for itself.

Froch is world champion, Groves was the mandatory for the IBF crown, the fight was made and Groves lost and so he's no longer the mandatory so there's no need to fight him. Froch may as well just hand over the belts if he takes a rematch and he knows that so he's not gonna risk it because his legacy won't be improved much even if he did beat Groves again, Groves isn't big time, he needs Ward again like he's been saying

Yes he can be accused of ducking. He said after the Groves fight that they would have a rematch. he shouted this out to the crowd to get a cheer. Now he's saying he doesn't need to give Groves a rematch. I think he knows that Groves has his number. Groves was meant to be a nobody compared to Froch but gave him a boxing lesson for 8 rounds before the ref jumped in to save Matchroom and Sky's biggest cash cow.

With regards to Froch's record, it looks a lot better on paper than it actually is. Also because of the super six tournament, he got more big names on his record.

I think Froch has been unfairly castigated after the Groves fight. It shows how fickle the mob is! Groves flipped the crowd with one punch in the first. They hated him when he walked in.

Anyway, to me Gorves was turning his back when he was slightly hurt, giving the crowd and the referee the impression that he was more hurt than he was. This is what happened at the stoppage, so I wasnt' as outraged as everyone else.

Froch is an iron jawed warrior but I think he ducked a Ward rematch if I am not mistaken?

No, actually Adonis Stevenson fought Donovan George in October

of 2012 this fight was actually a IBF Super Middleweight eliminator

meaning the winner would be the # 1 contender and would be next

mandatory challenger for Carl Froch. Adonis Stevenson won and he

never got his guaranteed match because Carl Froch avoided fighting

him rather than, waiting longer Adonis Stevenson decided to move up

to 175 Light Heavyweight and challenge "Bad" Chad Dawson and the

rest is history. Carl Froch did say that he would give George Groves a

rematch in post fight commentary however, he went back on his word

now Carl Froch is saying that he will not give George Groves rematch.

yes 100% ducker ,froch got a boxing lesson from groves and he was decked hard and only saved by the bell in the first . now every person i speak to wants to see the rematch which would be by far the biggest payday for froch yet he knows he will get beat unless he manages to get the ref to save him again .

froch has fought tough fighters when he needed ...BUT i haven't heard froch say he wants to fight ward again or groves .

Simple answer - No.

Let's not forget... Froch is getting on in years, and he was involved in some real trench wars - there was no easy fight for him during his career...

Groves shook him up granted, but he still won.

Froch is entitled to take some easier fights, he's certainly earned them.

Someone in another group said Froch is ducking Groves after he turned down the rematch. Can he ever be accused of ducking after Dirrell, Taylor, Ward, Johnson, Kessler, Groves, Bute... he fights everybody!
