It doesn't have to be anything super organized to be fun. Just make sure you have food for everyone. And good drinks (even non-alcoholic).
Another idea:
Depending on where you are, bonfires can be pretty cool too. And dinner can be cooked over the fire (make tin-foil bag with veggies, and roast the meat over the fire...)
Or,
check and see if there is a band playing nearby, or a concert or something going on. Those can be pretty fun as well.
They will be bringing you presents, so you have to come up with what you think is fun. Hire a fortune teller. Have good, easy food people can eat with their fingers. have good things to drink and not just alcohol. Get goodie bags ready for your female guests to take home filled with about five things, a cookie, some lotion, easy stuff.
Have a fire pit. Fires are safe and fun and people gather around them. It doesn't have to be big. Have good food, a couple of games, karaoke or something like that....cameras people take pics with but leave with you to develp and put on facebook or share later. You will have a great time. You are 22! enjoy it. It will be a fun time.
If you like videos games you could try Dave & Busters, one of my personal favorites because they have a variety of things to do there. Pool tables, tons of video games, photo booth, a bar, a place to sit and order food. Or if you dont want to spend too much money you can play video games or even board games like pictionary or"i've never" and have finger food at your house like mozarella sticks, pizza, chips, celery & dip, and your cake of course. If the weather turns hot you could try a water balloon fight outside with your friends lol. Hope this helped. And happy 22nd :)

It's my 22 birthday and I can't decide what to do with my friends. I would have rather my friends come up with my party, but they insist that I do. We're a group of 6 guys. My girlfriend as well as a few of their girlfriends might show.
There isn't much to do in my town other than what we do on a regular basis.(Movies, video games, go out to eat, etc.) I don't like to drink and although my friends do, they don't get messed up, so drinking games are a no.
I thought of doing a video game system link tourney with Halo, Tekken and/or Super Smash Bros, but I'd like a few more ideas.
