Beginner boxer, tips and hints?

I liked to box in my teenage years. Here are some good tips.:

-Always stay hydrated. Staying thirsty will lower your chances of performing well. A suggestion is gatorade. It replenishes the lost sweat which takes the water and salt from your body.

-Hit the gym. Lifting weights are helpful but not as helpful as cardio exercises. Jump roping helps a lot since it invovles being light on your feet which is need for boxing.Cardio exercises help you endure longer and increase stamina. When buying a bag, buy one that is just right to you. Considering that you are 155lbs, try finding a bag that is around 70-80lbs. Buy everlast gloves. They are light and very comfortable. Be sure to find the right hand size for your gloves.

-Go to YouTube and look up fights of Mohammad Ali. Copy his stances while watching the video. He is known to have been quick on his feet but strike hard.

-The last tip: HAVE FUN. Yes, boxing is a competitive sport but it is also a way to release stress from your body.

You can take a look at my channel or my website, I have A LOT of stuff to get you started, no joke, I promise you won't be let down. All the best in your training.

Use the skipping rope. A lot

You always hit a sand or soil

I want to start boxing as a stress reviler, as a little hobby and to get clean from my bad habits and to get a little more muscular and such.

What should I start looking to research or what are some essentials i need?

I plan on getting a bag at home and obviously some gloves, but I myself don't know anything about boxing whatsoever.

What kind of bag, gloves, and whatever else should I Invest in?

I'm 17 years old, 155LBS, and 5'11

And also if you know any good trainers or whoever that makes videos or guides that i could look at?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
