Pavlick was a bum who was never much of a competitor in the ring and had a lot of issues out of it. Kovalev is much more complete in and out of the ring, he's proved that his power is no fluke and made his name the hard way without being overhyped by his promoters until just recently.

I agree with Freddie when he says this time B-hop bit off more than he could chew with this opponent. Hopkins has made a selection of opponents in his bid to pursue the records but at this age, fighting a guy like Kovalev could spell the end for old Bernard. If there isn't some ridiculous last minute cancellation due to a cut or shoulder injury and the fight does go ahead, I see B-hop making it a slow and ugly fight but not winning on the scorecards and getting caught with something big before the end.

Yeah, Yahoo really sucks. Their attempt to change things up to get more clicks has backfired because less people are using it now because they suck.

Pavlik was a middleweight, moving up in weight to fight Hopkins. Pavlik was very slow and sluggish in that fight and didn't carry his power. Plus he had personal issues outside of the ring to deal with, so I don't think this fight can be used as an example of what might happen when Hopkins fights Kovalev.

Kelly p fight is irrelevant. I hope kovalev saves earth by whooping some alien asz and sending it back to mars
