BIRTHDAY PARTY HELP 14 y/o?

Both ideas are great. They both will probably not go over your budget. Also, last year I had a really fun party at a hotel (I had the same budget as you). Just rent a hotel room and you can swim, watch movies, chat, do your nails/hair, and much more.

Yeah....you're turning 14, not 18. A limo might be a little over the top. Also way over your budget.

Though a scavenger hunt can be fun. A different idea: A dropping. Get your parents to blindfold the lot of you, put you in a car or small van and drop you in the middle of a forest with a map, provisions (drinks, food) and maybe a flashlight if you do it at night and find your own way to a designated spot. Maybe as a reward for finding your way back you could have a big screen (a blow up movie screen might be a bit much, but a regular large tv works just fine) showing a movie while you guys snack on popcorn and snacks on pillows and blankets and stuff.

Okay, so on September 23 I will be officially 14!!! Well as exciting as that is I don't have a good party idea. So here's the thing, for the past two years I've had a sleepover party which if u dot know is when u have friends over, order pizza, and just kind of be high off sugar the entire night. When I turned 12, my party was talked about the entire year. And then last year when I turned 13 it kind of flopped.

So I have a few ideas but I need some more. For some more information I live in NJ so my birthday it is a little chilly. I also live at the beach so if that helps. I'm not really into the whole like Hawaii thing or dressing up as a character. The party can range from having 5-25 people. I want to spend around $300-$550. I don't want it to crazy. Having a DJ at my house and dancing isn't in the picture bc all my friends have different music tastes.

My first idea is this:

Rent a blow up movie screen and lay out tons of blankets. Everyone will lay in the blankets and pillows and chat while watching the movie. We will also have a candy and food bar and even rent a cotton candy machine. After that people may or may not sleep over.

My second idea I just found on yahoo answers:

Rent a limo and take my friends to the mall. (Last year I took my friends to the mall and it SUCKED!!) At the mall we would have a scavenger hunt and about $10-$20 (if u could make a list that's be cool!) Then the limo would drive us back to beach and eat pizza and other fried food.

Thanks!!!
