Duration is what will burn the most. Partially because it raises your metabolism and your body continues to burn calories throughout the day. Also to help, cut out all but 20 carbs per day. The weight will drop off your bones.
THE INSANITY BURNS MORE BECAUSE YOU ARE USING YOUR OWN BODY TO DO THE WORK OUT. THE MORE YOU PUT IN THE MORE YOU BURN. RUNNING IS GOOD BUT A TOTAL WORKOUT OF THE BODY AND EVERY MUSCLE IS BETTER.

I am 158 pounds and i am about 8-10% body fat. I'm just wondering if running on a tredmill for 30 mins will burn more calories then doing Insanity Max interval circuit. When running on the tredmill i sprint at speed 8 with a .5 slope for 1 min then i add a gradient of 2 and lower the speed down to 5 for 30 secs then slow down to speed 4 for 30 secs and i repeat this over for 30mins at the end i usually run 3 miles!
