Anniversary Meal Ideas?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
It shouldn't be too hard to remember back a year. Was there anything you tried to cook at the beginning of the year that was a real disaster? If so, get a good recipe for it and make it right -- or order it for take out from a local restaurant, go get it, and serve it at home.

Or, is there a favorite meal you make for him? Serve that.

Does he like steak? Get a nice cut and grill it on the stove, or outside if you have that option. Serve it with a nice potato and a green salad.

If yours is a typical man, be sure to have hot bread of some sort -- fresh rolls (brown & serve are fine) or biscuits or garlic bread or something. Most men go absolutely gaga over hot bread. Don't ask me why, but they love it. You can spend hours making the main course perfect, pop a pan of biscuits in the oven right before dinner, and he will just loooove those biscuits. Oh, well.

Set the mood with candles, music that was played at your wedding, pictures from wedding/dating time and the food can be anything you both like. Make homemade pizza and salad followed by a strawberry shortcake or chocolate if you prefer then watch a rented movie or favorite show together while munching on popcorn.. Having it fun like a date night is what will make it special in my opinion..

Congratulations on your Anniversary and may you have many happy years together.

Hello!

My husband and I are going to be celebrating our one year anniversary soon and I am a little conflicted about what I should make. I want to make a nice dinner for him and a nice dessert, but I also want to make it romantic. :) The meal cannot have fish or anything seafood related.

Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated! I want to make this the anniversary we remember when we reminisce. Cheesy, I know, but that is just how I am. :)

Thanks for all the answers! :)
