Khan has none of those things. Maybe he'd have success just jumping in on Floyd and throwing combo's, then jumping back out and running, but it'd be short lived and he'd get knocked out.
Khan starts fast against everyone, and then they get his timing down and he isn't as successful.
Floyd ALWAYS figures his opponents out. Khan would be no different, he'd eventually start getting hit and hit very clean. Floyd definitely has enough pop to stop Khan, and I think it would be inevitable Mayweather gets the stoppage.
Oscar gave Floyd a tough fight because Oscar used his good jab and he was bigger than Floyd, plus Oscar actually neutralized Floyd's best punch, which is the quick lead left hook. Oscar is a smart fighter just like Floyd. I just don't see Khan having the kind of success that Oscar had against Floyd. Khan is fast, but Floyd can adjust well to speed fighters, and Khan is susceptible to the left hook. I can see Floyd nailing Khan with that punch all night long. He may give Floyd a few problems early with his speed, but by round 3 or 4 Floyd will have him pretty much figured out and win a wide UD or stop Khan late.
...no, he would not. Amir Khan has practically no chance against Mayweather. One thing you clearly don't understand is Mayweather's ability to take away his opponent's strengths. Khan's only strength is his speed. Mayweather would take that away from him easily by timing and countering. it is at that moment that Khan would start throwing less punches for fear of getting countered. Mayweather makes every adjustment necessary to all his opponents. Khan also has poor accuracy so how would he hit Mayweather? He is not a standing target. Khan also has a weak chin, so how would he last 12 rounds against the most accurate and best counter puncher in the sport?
Mayweather's skills are legendary. How in the world do you come to the conclusion that some loud mouth fighter who only uses speed to win fights, has a weak chin, cannot adjust, does not like to fight, has poor accuracy, and has a very low Boxing IQ beats him?
Amir Khan has freakish SPEED, but being fast doesn't necessarily equal accuracy nor does being taller. I think Floyd Mayweather has proven in past fights with the likes of Zab Judah for example that he has the ability to handle fast fighters.
Opposed to Amir Khan who hasn't proven he can handle a counter-puncher with the degree of skill that Floyd Mayweather possesses. That and the fact that Khan hasn't proven he can beat a defensive fighter or a use his height as an advantage.
I think you have reasonable logic, however, I think your asking Khan to excuse certain things that we've never seen him use as a fighter. It's like automatically assuming someone who's tall can play Basketball.
I think that Amir Khan has ability to beat Mayweather because he got speed and if you see Zab Judah vs. Floyd, Zab almost beat Floyd and the result of the fight went to the judges and Khan knocked Judah in 4th or 5th round so I think he has ability to beat Mayweather.
A-Mere-Con? you mean bambi on ice?
no, he cannot beat mayesather
Maybe, but prob not
I know a lot of people would disagree but styles make fights and amir khan has the style to beat mayweather, he has quick long punches and that's how Oscar de la Hoya was the closest guy in recent times to nearly beating mayweather , amir khan has never been out boxed however a heavy handed guy like matthyse would probably ko khan , it's a bit like rock paper scicors, mayweather would easily beat someone like matthyse but someone like matthyse would easily beat khan and someone like khan would have great chance Against mayweather
