I think Algeri leap- frogged Keith Thurman and ,Shawn Porter because the risk vs. reward was just right while Thurman and Porter ,the risk factor trumps the reward factor and they pose too big of a threat to Manny Pacquiao.
I think Khan is a better fight than Algeiri. He is more experienced and alot of people like to see him fight. It would have been more marketable due to his popularity. Don't get me wrong I like Chris but Manny had better options..
When Amir Khan decided to sign with Al Haymon, his target is to have a better chance for the Floyd Mayweather Jr. lottery. He seems to forgot that Al will protect Floyd with his life that makes the signing a little stupid. If he want a fight with Manny, he should be signing with TR/Bob and not with Haymon. Even GBP can not do anything for him now if he's looking for a fight with Pacquiao. Forget this match up, it will never happen.
Khan is never good for Pac. Khan's been fasting for the last 3 weeks. If Manny decides to fight him, they will say he's dehydrated and got weaker even if November is the fight date. That's 4 months already after Ramadan. But forget about the fight with Khan nonetheless. Probably early next year will do. After all, it's been a routine for Roach to let Khan and Manny spar in that WIld Card Gym.

Algieri is very very popular in his NY area, a good chance to get some of that pot of gold. Algieri does have the body type to win any fight, like his fight win with the powerful Providnikov.
