Hire a venue and have a party there. Get a DJ. Provide a buffet. Big fancy cake. This idea also eliminates the problem of your friends not getting into bars, however, they will not get served unless they request something alcohol-free.

You can also make your party more memorable and fun by having everyone create their own hand painted & glitter t-shirts ! Try to get everyone's correct size and get plain white ones. It's best to do outdoors. Each of your guests will have a unique and creative lasting memory to keep from your special day for quite sometime ! Just Google all the supplies you'll need and have a blast !
My daughter's best friend went to visit her a few weeks ago and brought her t-shirt's that she created when they were 5, 8 and 16 years old.
They both are 28 today ~ what a wonderful moment they had to rekindle all those wonderful memories from their past.
Lazer tag, paintball, bowling etc. Paintballing especially since its fun to shoot your friends and bruise them :D
If you want to be more chilled maybe go to a restaruant and just chat, relax for an evening

I need some ideas for my 18th birthday party in November! I'm finding it difficult to think of something to do for various reasons...
1. Most of my friends will still only be 17..can't go out for drinks.
2.My house isn't suitable for a party (new carpets, sofas)
3. It will be cold so can't have a party in the garden.
Any suggestions please?? I would like a relatively big party as usually I only go out for a meal :)
